Consulting Philosophy

Many organizations can appear to be similar on the surface, but in fact they are all unique.  Even organizations with the same mission and purpose can be very different - reflecting a different history, culture and operational style.  Each person within a leadership team brings their own competencies, world view and way of relating to the other team members.

I characterize myself as a "process" consultant, not a "product" consultant.  I don't have any pre-packaged solutions to sell you.  Therefore, I like to begin a new client relationship by spending time listening, asking questions and getting to know the challenges and opportunities facing the organization.  Then I want to explore how my knowledge and experience can add value to the client situation.  Together we can develop a process for achieving your goals that will work for your organization and budget.

I believe strongly in pursuing interdependent relationships, based on reciprocity, direct communication and accountability.  I want to earn your trust and respect as a valued resource for sustainable leadership and team development.
